CLIFTON PARK — Pasta Pane Rustic Italian Bistro at 18 Park Ave. in Clifton Park has been sold to Nicholas Porreca, a former employee of the restaurant.
DZ Restaurants, announced a sale to Porreca, the original executive chef when the place opened in 2010, said most of the current staff would remain in their positions.
“I feel extremely excited by this opportunity,” he said in a statement released by DZ Restaurants. “I plan to continue the restaurant’s commitment to its guests, its passion for cuisine, and the commitment to its staff.”
Porreca, who will run the restaurant with his wife, Nicole, and their family, is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America.
David Zecchini, owner of DZ Restaurants, wished him luck.
“We hope Clifton Park welcomes Nick Porreca to Pasta Pane with the same warmth and generosity with which they welcomed us,” he said in the statement.
